"Dennis und Patrick Weinert sind zwei ganz besondere junge Menschen, deren Werdegang ich schon recht lange aktiv und mit Bewunderung für ihr Tun verfolge.
Die Brüder reisen in Kriegs- und Krisengebiete und halten mit der Kamera fest, wovon man hofft, es würde niemals geschehen.
Logisch für mich, dass diese Erfahrungen den Menschen prägen, der sie macht. Weshalb sie aber überhaupt so unterwegs sind und was dabei mit ihnen geschieht, das erzählen die in dieser ZDF-Dokumentation selbst.
Menschen wie die beiden empfinde ich speziell in Zeiten hedonistischer Wehklagerei als inspirierend und ungemein angenehm. Und worüber sie berichten, das rückt das Geschehen anderswo auch immer wieder ins richtige Licht."

I got introduced to Dennis and Patrick by Trần Anh Hùng and his wife Trần Nữ Yên Khê last year in Saigon. I immediately felt a strong connection to them, and we quickly became friends.
Their book of photographs "Resilienz", which covers their travels through difficult or dangerous zones in Congo, Afghanistan, Nepal or Iran is superb, so when they asked me to write the music for their documentary, I couldn't possibly say no.
